Job description

Title: Senior Credit Controller

Location: East West Building, 2 Tollhouse Hill, Nottingham, NG1 5FS

Reporting to: Director of Credit Control

 

Role Responsibilities:

*         Ensuring a high level of collection rates and meeting debtor targets set by the business

*         Collecting outstanding charges from tenants

*         Taking card payments over the phone

*         The building and maintenance of relationships for both internal and external clients

*         Management of own portfolios within LSH Property Management

*         Ensuring all resources are managed effectively regarding cover within the team

*         Ensuring team targets are met and high performance is maintained

*         Ensuring that all backlogs are communicated and managed with minimal disruption to service

*         Providing support and problem solving for the team

*         Ensuring overdue items are chased via phone, email and letter within agreed timescales

*         Maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity

*         Responding promptly to all internal and external requests

*         Completing the staff on-boarding and off-boarding process

*         Ad hoc duties

  • Portrays confidence and enthusiasm, is organised, flexible and conspicuously reliable.
  • Strong and influential leadership skills that follow a ‘can-do’ approach with the ability to communicate to individuals at all levels.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work under own initiative, takes ownership of responsibilities and drives positive change.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, high level of accuracy and numeracy accompanying professional Credit Control experience.
  • Team player and leader, with experience in managing projects and delivering to deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, efficiently and in a timely manner together with excellent decision making capabilities.

 

Desirable Criteria :

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, including intermediate excel skills (v-lookups and Pivot Tables).
  • Professional Supervisory Credit Control experience.
  • Awareness of general accounting procedures, regulatory standards & compliance requirements.
  • Formal qualification: MICM or equivalent an advantage.
