Placement Year Students
Placement Year opportunities are available each year for a limited number of undergraduate students who are working towards a RICS accredited degree – usually between their second and final years of study.
The placement year offers an invaluable opportunity for students to work for us on a 12-month fixed term contract, usually starting in July or August. Our placement year students will typically stay with one team throughout their time with us to gain solid experience, rather than splitting their time across different disciplines.
Whilst placement students cannot formerly enrol onto the APC until they have completed their degree, a placement year at LSH can count towards the APC and it may be possible for students to have their APC start date backdated retrospectively to the start of their placement year. In addition, students are welcome to attend the Year 1 APC training we provide for graduates in the time they are with us.
Where can I do a placement year at LSH?
Our London, Belfast, Birmingham, Cambridge, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester offices all currently support, or have recently supported, placement year students, and we consider supporting this career path across our whole office network every year based upon individual office and team requirements.
How and when can I apply?
Applications and expressions of interest for our placement year scheme typically open from 1st October to 15th November each year. A link will appear here when applications open.
