About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and highly capable individual with proven experience managing multi-building estates or similar. We are open to those wishing to step up from managing single building estates to multi-building estates.

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estate & Facilities Manager to oversee the operations of Royal William Yard, a prestigious Grade I Listed mixed-use estate located at the gateway to Plymouth Harbour.

This flagship development blends heritage architecture with vibrant commercial, residential, and leisure spaces, offering a unique and dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

*       Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with the client, client agents, and commercial occupiers.

*       Lead the preparation and management of multiple service charge budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.

*       Monitor and report on service charge expenditure, identifying efficiencies and ensuring value for money.

*       Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, emergency procedures, and safe working practices across the estate.

*       Proactively procure and manage contractors, ensuring high standards of delivery and compliance with estate protocols.

*       Conduct monthly compliance audits and maintain accurate records.

*       Oversee all contractor activities within the estate boundary, including issuing permits to work and supervising performance.

*       Maintain the estate’s historic integrity while supporting modern operational needs.

Essential Requirements:

*       Proven professional experience managing a mixed-use, single or multi-building estate—experience with Grade I Listed or heritage properties is desirable but not essential.

*       Strong budget and utility management skills with a proven track record of financial accountability.

*       Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.

*       Sound knowledge of building services, facilities management, and estate operations.

*       IOSH Managing Safely certification required; NEBOSH qualification preferred.

*       Professional development in facilities, property, or built environment disciplines.

What we're offering:

*       The opportunity to manage one of the South West’s most iconic estates.

*       A collaborative and supportive working environment.

*       Competitive salary and benefits package.

*       Opportunities for professional development.
