Job description
Key focus of job:
We are looking for an ambitious self-motivated Surveyor to join the LSH Rating service line working as part of a National Division on behalf of commercial landlords, occupiers and tenants across the regions.
Main tasks:
1. Inspection and measurement of properties
2. Undertaking research, detailed rental analysis and carrying out valuations for rating purposes
3. Pursuing cases through Check, Challenge, Appeal (CCA) including presenting at Valuation Tribunal
4. Managing client portfolios, attending meetings and providing portfolio updates
5. Providing general advice in order to minimise client’s business rates liability
6. Business development to secure new clients and creating opportunities for other service lines
Main capabilities:
Technical Skills
* MRICS Qualified
* Proven track record undertaking detailed rental analysis and valuations for rating purposes
* Knowledge of valuation approaches beyond the comparable method
* Computer Literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office
* Rating List navigation through VOA website and associated applications
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Outstanding negotiation skills
